PRIDE OF ILOCANOS
This Kannawidan festival is the commemoration of the foundation day of the province of Ilocos Sur. This term Kannadiwan is a adaptation to a Ilocano word “tawid” which means heritage or inheritance because Ilocos is rich in cultural heritage. To give additional information, Kannawidan showcases the different product or agriculture to promote its unique culture and heritage. Many events like street dancing, carnivals, food fairs, and many more are cancelled due to this pandemic like street dancing, carnivals, food fairs, and many more.
Mass
gatherings are banned as social distancing is highly implemented and by the use
of technology the event experiences online. This are some important showcased
products that has been displayed during the Kannawidan festival to promote the
culture of the province are in the trade fairs; longanisa, bagnet, garlic,
bibingka, tinubong and many other foods including handicrafts. Copious amounts
of people attended the opening mass in Kannawidan.
Securing
the health of the community is a must. Feeling disappointed may mount as there

festivals are not only in the presence of celebrations but it can also be in
